The species Entacmaea quadricolor belongs to the family Actiniidae. Feeding once a week is recommended with prey like shrimp, mussels, and small fish of a size >2cm, for example. Recommended for diligent beginner aquarists. Propagation of Entacmaea quadricolor is impossible or very difficult. Light: medium to strong with a spectrum of about 14 to 20000 k. Aggressiveness: strong. Current: medium. Water quality: we recommend a nitrate NO3- level greater than 10mg/liter, as well as a phosphate PO4 level between 0.01 and 0.05mg/l. Of course, Calcium (400-440mg/l), Magnesium (1250-1350mg/l), and Kh (7.5 to 9°All) should be at the correct values. To conclude, Entacmaea quadricolor are rather easy to maintain if illuminated moderately to intensely and reasonably circulated, provided the parameters are good. This anemone can be inhabited by various invertebrates such as shrimp (Periclimenes) and some fish like Amphiprion clarkii or Amphiprion sebae.
