The APISTOGRAMMA AGASSIZII fire red is a dwarf cichlid with a maximum size of 9 cm. Its lifespan is estimated to be around 6 years. Oval-shaped, its colors can vary or be created through selection, like this Fire Red. This specimen enjoys living in groups or pairs, adopting a diurnal lifestyle. Territorial, it however has a rather calm behavior with non-territorial fish.
To keep the APISTOGRAMMA AGASSIZII fire red in good conditions, a minimum 120L aquarium is mandatory. The ideal water temperature for this species is between 24° and 27°. The suitable pH level is between 6.8 and 7.2. Not very aggressive and tolerant of parameter variations, it is relatively easy to maintain in captivity.
