The male Guppy - Poecilia reticulata male is a freshwater fish living at a temperature of 18 - 28° C and a pH of 7.0 to 8.0. Its reproduction is easy. To keep it in good conditions, we recommend a group of 5 or more in an aquarium with a minimum length of 60 cm. One male for every 2 or 3 females is ideal.
Primarily omnivorous, it feeds on zooplankton, detritus, and algae. The male Guppy prefers stagnant and slow currents, like those found in marshy areas and streams. Its peaceful temperament makes it an ideal inhabitant in community aquariums. However, be careful not to associate it with too large fish or very territorial species.
