Aquatic plants
Online sales or mail order sales of aquatic plants for freshwater aquariums.
Most aquarium plants spend at least a large part of the year out of the water; however, the humidity should be at 75-80% and a temperature of 25 degrees is recommended.
Some plants, like Egeria and Ceratophyllum, are 100% hygrophilous, meaning they only live in water.
Plant Maintenance
We recommend maintaining plants with a KH close to zero and a GH close to 7. We have a special category for fertilizers for freshwater plants.
Two solutions are available to you for creating the ideal substrate for your plants:
- The first involves having a soil type such as compost or aqualite covered by aquarium sand
- The second is to have a technical aquascaping substrate directly usable by the plants that does not need to be covered.
All our plants are sold in small pots or metal rings; please remove them before introducing them into the aquarium so that the roots can develop properly in the substrate.
Very good aquascaping lighting is mandatory. Check our category to find the best references for growing your plants.
The CO2 kit is optional but very effective. Contact us for customized advice.
