Carbo Ex Refill Pack 3250 g – CO2 Absorbent for skimmer

Carbo Ex Refill Pack is an absorbent media designed to eliminate carbon dioxide present in the air drawn in by the skimmer. It is exclusively used in a Skim Breeze type air filter or equivalent, placed on the skimmer's air intake.

By reducing the CO2 content of the incoming air, the aquarium's pH naturally increases. The observed increase is generally between 0.2 and 0.3 pH points, depending on the tank's setup and the surrounding environment.

Impact on pH in Reef Aquariums

An excess of CO2 in the ambient air can lead to a chronic decrease in pH in reef aquariums. The use of Carbo Ex helps limit this external influence and maintain a more stable and higher pH.

A stabilized pH promotes the growth and vitality of corals and helps limit the development of undesirable algae.

Recommended Use

Carbo Ex Refill Pack should be used only for filtering the air entering skimmers.

It should never be placed directly in the aquarium water.
