Biopellet is a filtration equipment intended for seawater. Biopellets are biodegradable polymer elements that dissolve slowly, thus adding a carbon source in the water that promotes the development of bacteria in the Biopellet reactor. The bacteria feed on phosphates and nitrates and are then removed by the skimmer. This results in a decrease in the nitrate and phosphate levels present in the water.
