NP-Bacto-Pellets is an organic filtering media designed for fluidized bed filters and pellet reactors. It enables an efficient biological reduction of nitrates and phosphates through a rapid triggering effect and continuous action.
The pellets consist of a blend of natural biopolymers promoting the colonization and growth of bacteria specialized in the removal of nitrates and phosphates, as well as other beneficial microorganisms. This bacterial biomass also serves as an indirect food source for filtering organisms.
The controlled reduction of nutrients, close to natural reef conditions, contributes to achieving lighter and brighter colors, balanced growth, and increased vitality of corals. Nutrient concentrations should be monitored to maintain these optimal conditions in the aquarium.

NP-Bacto-Pellets should be placed in a suitable fluidized bed filter or pellet reactor. Powerful skimming is essential to remove exported nutrients and ensure optimal gas exchange.
Before use, boil the pellets in water to remove contained air.
Recommended initial dosage: 50 ml of pellets per 100 liters of aquarium volume.
After 4 weeks, the amount can be doubled if necessary, not exceeding a maximum of 200 ml per 100 liters of aquarium volume.
It is advisable to replenish the consumed media approximately once a month.
For maximum efficiency, the reactor flow can be directed near the intake of the skimmer.
A measurable reduction in nitrates and phosphates can be observed after two to four weeks of use.
Regular monitoring of water parameters allows for dosage adjustment and maintaining a stable reef balance close to natural conditions.
