BEA Mesocosmo Live Zooplankton for Reef Aquarium

BEA Mesocosmo is a high-density culture of live marine zooplankton designed to provide natural and complete nutrition to reef organisms. This blend combines various planktonic life forms to enhance biodiversity and biological integration in the aquarium.

A Complete Biological Consortium

The formulation combines several biological components, including selected bacterial consortia, microalgae, and different benthic and planktonic species. This diversity provides natural nutrition while supporting the biological processes of the system.

Biological Stability and Nutrient Management

Through biological competition for nutrients and ecological niches, this blend can help stabilize the aquarium and support protocols for managing biological imbalances such as cyanobacteria, dinoflagellates, or bacterial blooms.

Nutrition for Corals and Fish

The diversity of planktonic organisms provides a live food source suitable for corals, planktivorous fish, and filter feeders. The size of the organisms present generally ranges from 20 to 1500 microns, covering a wide trophic spectrum.

Usage

For an aquarium of about 200 liters that is moderately populated, administer 100 to 200 ml every two days. It is advised to add the product when the lights are off and to temporarily stop the skimmer and pumps for a few minutes. Shake well before use.

Storage

Store in the refrigerator between 8 and 12 °C. The shelf life is generally 4 to 8 weeks. It is recommended to aerate and shake the contents regularly to keep the microorganisms in suspension.
