The Profi Test pH Salifert allows for precise monitoring of the pH level in a saltwater aquarium. pH is a fundamental parameter in reef aquariums, directly influencing the health of fish, corals, and the effectiveness of biological processes.
This test works with two solutions and allows for approximately 50 tests. Salifert tests are known for their reliability, ease of use, and excellent value for money.
Caution. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest.
1. Draw 5 ml of aquarium water using the pipette and pour it into the round bottle.
2. Add 6 drops of the pH reagent, then gently shake for 10 seconds.
3. Hold the test tube facing you and observe the color from the side. Place the colorimetric scale behind the test tube, ensuring that a white area of the scale is behind the liquid.
An intermediate color corresponds to an intermediate pH value.
A pH between 8.0 and 8.4 is recommended for a tropical saltwater aquarium.
If the pH is regularly below 8.0, the KH concentration can be increased using a suitable buffer such as the KH + pH Buffer from Salifert.
Regular pH monitoring allows for anticipating imbalances and ensuring a stable and healthy environment for all reef life.
