Profi Test Potassium Salifert – K Test for Reef Aquarium

The Potassium Salifert Profi Test is designed to measure the potassium concentration in seawater. Potassium is a minor element naturally present in natural seawater, with a concentration generally ranging between 370 and 400 ppm.

Monitoring potassium is particularly important in reef aquariums, especially for the growth of corals and calcareous algae, as well as for the overall biological balance of the tank.

Main Features

  • Test type: potassium (K)
  • Use: marine and reef aquarium
  • Measurement suitable for seawater
  • Reading by colorimetric method

Why Measure Potassium

A potassium level that is too low can lead to decreased growth of corals and calcareous algae. Conversely, a concentration that is too high can cause a decrease in beneficial bacterial populations essential for the proper functioning of the aquarium.

Regular monitoring allows for adjusting inputs and maintaining a stable value, close to that of natural seawater.

Usage Recommendations

Ensure that a balanced concentration is maintained, within the natural values of seawater. Any correction should be made gradually to avoid biological imbalances.

The user manual is provided in English, with explanatory diagrams to facilitate the test performance.

Product intended for aquarist use. Keep out of reach of children and carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions.
