This VarioS 4-S pinwheel rotor is the original Reef Octopus replacement part (OCTO range) for the VarioS 4-S skimmer pump. Its pins break up the air drawn in by the venturi into microbubbles: this is the part that makes the skimmer effective.

When should the rotor be replaced?

• the pump becomes noisy or vibrates;
• foam production or air intake decreases despite cleaning;
