Grotech Magnesium pro 1000 g – magnesium substrate for calcium reactor
Magnesium pro is a substrate specially formulated for use in calcium reactors in marine aquariums. It helps to increase and balance the concentration of magnesium, an essential element for chemical stability and the growth of reef organisms.
Role and Use
In reef aquariums, calcium and magnesium are consumed in large quantities by corals and encrusting algae. During the typical use of a calcium reactor, the calcium supply is generally higher than that of magnesium.
The addition of Magnesium pro in the reactor medium helps to compensate for this imbalance and maintain an appropriate concentration of magnesium.
Usage Recommendations
It is advised to add up to 10% of Magnesium pro in the material used in the calcium reactor.
An excessive mix is not recommended, as it could lead to too high a concentration of magnesium in the aquarium.
When using Magnesium pro, the magnesium concentration in the water should be regularly monitored.
