The KS-250 is a limewater mixing reactor developed by Grotech for reef aquariums. It dissolves and keeps calcium hydroxide suspended to produce a homogeneous limewater, used for calcium supplementation and pH support.

Operation

The KS-250 operates as a mixing chamber where osmosis water is brought into contact with calcium hydroxide. The stirring system ensures regular dissolution, producing clear and consistent limewater.

The prepared water can be gradually injected into the aquarium, usually via an evaporation compensation system or a dosing pump, to avoid abrupt parameter changes.

Use in Reef Aquariums

Using a kalkwasser stirrer supports the calcium consumption of stony corals while contributing to pH stability. The KS-250 is suitable for reef aquariums requiring regular and controlled supplementation.

Compatibility

The KS-150 Grotech is compatible with reef setups using osmosis water and an automatic compensation or controlled dosing system.
