Description
The HannaFer Checker® represents a good compromise between the choice of simple chemical test kits and professional quality instrumentation. Chemical test kits have limited accuracy and resolution because they rely on distinguishing color differences perceived by the human eye.
Professional quality instrumentation includes a light source composed of a LED or a tungsten lamp with a filter and a light detector to accurately determine the absorbance and concentration of ions.
Professional tools offer superior resolution and precision, but can cost hundreds of euros. The Checker ® Hanna Ferro uses a fixed-wavelength LED source and a silicon photoelectric cell to ensure professional instrumentation accuracy at the affordable price of a chemical test kit.
The Checker® HC (portable colorimeter) HI721 is a simple, accurate, and affordable tool for measuring iron. Iron is generally present in water at low concentrations and can affect taste and stain clothes during washing. Iron is also an indicator of corrosion and is monitored in industrial facilities and in cooling systems and heating by water.
