Description

Designed to safely increase magnesium levels in a marine system without disrupting the ionic balance.
This concentrated supplement contains more than 72,000 ppm of cationic magnesium. It is free of nitrate, phosphate, and gluconate.

Magnesium plays an important role in maintaining calcium concentrations in the marine system. If magnesium concentrations drop, it will be very difficult to increase calcium concentrations. Due to the rapid binding of calcium and carbonates in the marine system, this generally manifests as what is called a snowstorm (precipitate) when adding calcium or an alkaline buffer. The magnesium concentration should be maintained at 1,320 mg/L. (1320 ppm) natural seawater concentration.

MICROBE-LIFT / Magnesium Supplement requires no pre-dissolution and is an essential element for hard and soft corals, which are normally depleted by filtration and coral absorption. The magnesium supplement is ionically balanced for reefs and marine aquariums.

It is not necessary to use more magnesium supplement than recommended to increase and maintain the concentration level.

This product is intended for use with all ornamental and aquarium fish but cannot be used with fish intended for human consumption.

Usage

- Due to settling in the bottle, it is important to shake well before each use!
- Magnesium levels should be checked in the marine system, then add MICROBE-LIFT / magnesium supplement at a rate of 1 mL per gallon of aquarium or reef capacity per day to bring the level between 1250 and 1350 ppm.
- This will increase the level by 19 ppm on a daily basis as a regular supplement.
- If no testing is done, add at a rate of 2 caps (14 ml) per 50 gallons (189 L.) each week for all marine systems.
