Flourish Nitrogen is a nitrogen supplement formulated to meet the needs of planted freshwater aquariums. Nitrogen is one of the three essential macronutrients for plant growth and can become a limiting factor in systems with a high plant density.

Benefits and Functionality

Flourish Nitrogen provides nitrogen in two complementary forms. Nitrate is immediately usable by many plants, while ammonium, the preferred form for some species, is made available gradually.

The ammonium present in Flourish Nitrogen is complexed and is not released as free ammonia. It becomes assimilable only after the conversion of urea, ensuring safe use in the aquarium.

This dual approach allows for nitrogen supply to be adapted to the different assimilation strategies of aquatic plants and optimizes growth without unbalancing the environment.

Combined Use

For a complete macronutrient supply, Flourish Nitrogen can be used in conjunction with Flourish Phosphorus and Flourish Potassium to precisely adjust the NPK ratio according to the needs of the tank.
