Juvenile Rhinomuraena quaesita (black) 80-100 cm

Rhinomuraena quaesita, the protandric ribbon eel. This eel is born black with a yellow dorsal fin, then becomes an electric blue male with a yellow dorsal fin, and finally ends its life as an entirely yellow female. It feeds on small fish and small grey shrimp. Be careful, it can escape through holes smaller than 1 cm! Make sure to secure your aquarium.
