Reef Octopus VarioS 6-S DC 70 W skimmer pump: pinwheel impeller, up to 2400 L/h of air, 5-speed controller, feeding mode, and 0-10 V input.

An adjustable and quiet DC skimmer pump

The VarioS 6-S skimmer pump from Reef Octopus ( OCTO range) runs on 36 V DC. Its pinwheel impeller breaks the air into very fine microbubbles for efficient skimming. The ceramic shaft and bearings help reduce wear, and the pump remains very quiet while consuming only 70 W.

This is the original pump fitted on Reef Octopus Regal 250, Regal 300, and Elite 220 skimmers: it can be used to replace a worn pump or upgrade an existing skimmer.

A complete controller

• 5 speeds to adjust air and water flow to the aquarium's organic load;
• feeding mode for 15 or 60 minutes;
• 0-10 V input for control by an external controller;
• management of a float switch (supplied with its bracket) that shuts off the pump if the cup is full.

Safety and installation

An integrated cooling circuit prevents overheating, and the pump automatically shuts down in the event of an electrical fault. The outlet volute is adjustable. The pump can be used submerged or outside the aquarium (internal or external).
