Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos and Elimi-Phos Longlife Phosphate-Reducing Granules

Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos and Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife are adsorbent granules designed to effectively remove phosphates, yellow substances, and toxic organic waste from marine and freshwater aquariums.

Phosphates are very stably fixed to the granules, preventing any subsequent release into the aquarium water.

Phosphate and Algae Control

These granules are particularly suited for limiting undesirable algae growth. Elimi-Phos is distinguished by rapid phosphate degradation, while Elimi-Phos Longlife offers extended effectiveness, with a longer phosphate degradation phase.

They can be used both for spot phosphate removal and for general water maintenance, similar to activated carbon.

Prevention and Water Maintenance

To avoid progressive water pollution, it is recommended to perform regular water changes and use Elimi-Phos or Elimi-Phos Longlife preventively.

Application and Dosage

Use approximately 100 g of Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos or Elimi-Phos Longlife for 200 L of aquarium water. Introduce the adsorbent into the filter or suspend the bag in an area with a strong current.

In aquariums heavily polluted with yellow substances, start with 100 g for 500 L of water to allow invertebrates and plants to gradually adapt to the new conditions.

Granule Maintenance

For optimal performance, loosen the granules once a week and briefly rinse them under running water.

The Quick & Clean bags can remain in the aquarium until their adsorption capacity is exhausted. If the phosphate concentration increases again, replace the granules with new Elimi-Phos or Elimi-Phos Longlife.
