What to do when the level is too high?

Risks: rapid precipitation in water, reduced coral growth, discoloration of growth tips, partial tissue die-off (especially SPS).

Measures: perform regular partial water changes, monitor and reduce manganese inputs (avoid filter media enriched with Mn), filter through zeolite or specialized resins (optimal value: < 5 µg/L, avoid > 5 µg/L).

What to do when the level is too low?

Risks: dulling of tissues, slow or nonexistent growth, growth tips without color, increased photosensitivity (especially Goniopora, Alveopora).

Measures: gradually increase using Elementals Trace Mn (spread the dosage over several days), adjust filtration (zeolites) to stabilize the level, aim for 0.1–0.5 µg/L depending on consumption (ideal value: about 0.3 µg/L).
