Vanadium

Vanadium (V)

What to do when the level is too high?

Risks: coral darkening, excessive algae growth, nutrient cycle imbalance.

Measures: gradually reduce through regular partial water changes, filtration with specific adsorbers or anti-metal resins, check and eliminate any excessive source of vanadium (optimal value: 3–5 µg/L, avoid >6 µg/L).

What to do when the level is too low?

Risks: low color and contrast formation, slowed growth, degradation of coral pigment cycle.

Measures: add via Elementals Trace V (e.g., 42 mL spread over 3 days with Balling Light), homogenize by partial water change, monitor until reaching 3–5 µg/L.
