Description

Plankton Light Reactor II by Aqua Medic is a plankton production reactor with a 5 L capacity designed to replicate a natural food chain. Microalgae are cultivated using light, suitable fertilizers, and the CO₂ content of the air, then directly distributed to filter-feeding animals or used to raise zooplankton.

Its integrated 10 W LED lighting ensures a high reproduction rate — the algal biomass can quadruple in 24 hours if nutrients are sufficient. Two 4/6 mm connectors allow for a simultaneous supply of air and CO₂ (adjustable according to pH). The lid includes a slot for a pH probe and a support for partial extraction via a tube with a dosing clamp. Compatible with freshwater or marine phyto- and zooplankton.
