Description
Mini-Deniballs from Aqua Medic are granules made of special biodegradable plastic that serve as exclusive food for denitrifying bacteria in an anaerobic environment. These bacteria use the plastic as a carbon source to transform nitrates into gaseous nitrogen, effectively eliminating nitrates from the aquarium without chemicals.
Each 0.5 L packet is sufficient to continuously fuel a nitrate reactor for up to 12 months. At the end of this period, simply replace the Mini-Deniballs to maintain optimal degradation.
