Ecsenius lineatus, also known as the linear blenny, is a small marine fish highly appreciated for its liveliness and ease of care. Originating from shallow waters, it is easily recognizable by its continuous black stripe that extends from head to tail.
An Active and Observant Fish
This fish spends its days moving between its various observation posts. It constantly explores the nooks and crannies of the decor, regularly standing guard on a rock or a promontory. This is a typical behavior of blennies, making it both useful and very pleasant to observe in the tank.
Perfect for Small Reef Aquariums
Ecsenius lineatus is ideal for beginners and can be kept in tanks as small as 60 to 80 liters, provided there's a well-structured rocky decor. It is not very sensitive to variations and adapts easily to life in captivity.
