Ecsenius stictus, also known as the ray-finned fish, is a small, discreet, and active marine blenny, perfectly suited for small reef aquariums. Its elongated, whitish-colored body allows it to blend into the surroundings while energetically occupying the space.
An Indefatigable Observer
Like all blennies, the Ecsenius stictus spends its days moving between its many observation posts. It scrutinizes its environment, explores cavities, and often perches on a rock, ready to leap towards food or change hiding spots. It is an endearing and curious fish, ideal for enlivening the lower areas of the aquarium.
Perfect for Small Volumes and Beginners
Not demanding, Ecsenius stictus is suitable for tanks starting from 60 liters. It appreciates a setup composed of live rocks and a sandy substrate, where it can find food and hiding places. Very robust, it is recommended for beginner aquarists looking to introduce a peaceful and useful fish.
