Amphiprion Black Ice is an original morph of the ocellaris clownfish, characterized by a bright pearly white body bordered with intense blacks. Elegant, contrasting, and peaceful, it appeals to aquarists looking for a clownfish with a unique style, perfectly suited to life in a reef aquarium.
The Black Ice features an irregular pattern mixing bright white and charcoal black, with occasionally slightly orange areas. Each individual is unique, making it a clownfish that is both aesthetic and original. Its behavior remains true to the species: territorial, sociable, and calm.
This clownfish can be kept alone or as a pair. When introduced young, the two fish naturally form a pair through the phenomenon of protandry, where the larger one becomes female. It is completely compatible with corals, peaceful invertebrates, and other non-aggressive fish.
It often adopts a Euphyllia or a Rhodactis as a substitute for an anemone in a modern reef aquarium.
The Amphiprion Black Ice offered here are from the French breeding facility ACDP (Au Cœur Du Poisson), located in Hérault. Since 2016, Julie and Vincent have been developing ethical and efficient tropical aquaculture there. They currently breed over 60 pairs of clownfish, including this exceptional morph.
The fish are raised without wild collection, accustomed to inert food (pellets, artemia, flakes), and acclimated from a young age to life in a reef aquarium. ACDP is a reference player in French marine breeding.
The Black Ice is robust, easy to acclimate, and suitable for tanks starting from 60 liters, in stable and well-aerated water. It appreciates rocky areas and moderate lighting.
Amphiprion Black Ice is an excellent option to combine aesthetics, ease of maintenance, and ethical aquaristics in your reef aquarium.
