Amphiprion frenatus – Red Clownfish or Tomato Clownfish from ACDP Breeding
Amphiprion frenatus, commonly known as the red clownfish or tomato clownfish, is a species renowned for its robustness and lively behavior. This elongated fish sports a bright orange body in its youth, which turns reddish-brown in adulthood. Its wide white band behind the eye makes it immediately recognizable.
A Hardy and Endearing Clownfish
Perfect for both beginner and experienced aquarists, Amphiprion frenatus is easy to acclimate and adapts to different types of tanks. It is an active fish, territorial but peaceful towards other non-aggressive species. It can live alone, in pairs, or within a small group if space is sufficient.
A Special Bond with Its Shelter
This clownfish particularly appreciates the presence of an Entacmaea quadricolor anemone, with which it forms a symbiotic relationship. If no anemone is available, it will willingly settle for a Rhodactis or an Euphyllia as a substitute natural shelter.
Bred by French Breeder ACDP
The specimens offered are bred in France by Au Cœur Du Poisson (ACDP), a tropical aquaculture facility located in Hérault. Founded by Julie and Vincent, ACDP is a reference in French marine reproduction. Since 2016, the breeding has expanded to include more than 60 pairs of clownfish, including Amphiprion frenatus.
The fish are accustomed to inert food from the juvenile stage, ensuring quick acclimatization in aquariums. ACDP is committed to sustainable aquaculture, without wild capture, with rigorous selection of breeding stock and exemplary health monitoring.
