The Amphiprion akallopisos is generally fished in Indonesia at a depth ranging between 3 and 25 meters. Rarer than its cousin clownfish, its magnificent orange coat and its white dorsal stripe have earned it the nickname Amphiprion SKUNK in Indonesia and Whitebacked clownfish in the United States.
In the wild, it is often found in anemones such as Heteractis or Stichodactyla.
