The Deltec NFP Series reactors are specially designed to effectively reduce nitrates in marine and reef aquariums. Through a controlled denitrification process, they ensure optimal water quality for the health and growth of corals, fish, and other sensitive organisms.
These reactors utilize the action of anaerobic bacteria that transform nitrates into gaseous nitrogen, which is then released into the atmosphere. This process helps maintain a stable and healthy environment in marine systems, even those with high nutrient loads.
The Deltec NFP reactors can be installed in the sump or in the immediate vicinity of the aquarium. Maintenance is limited to monitoring the flow rate and bacterial load, as well as adjusting the daily liquid food.
