Pervagor janthinosoma, also known as the blue-bellied filefish, is a fascinating species belonging to the Monacanthidae family. Native to the Indo-Pacific reefs, this fish is distinguished by its elongated and laterally compressed body, its green coloration with golden reflections, and its very recognizable metallic blue belly.
A discreet and peaceful behavior
With a calm and solitary nature, the Pervagor janthinosoma thrives in richly decorated reef aquariums with rocks and hiding places. It moves slowly in open water or near the substrate, searching for food. It is compatible with most peaceful fish but should not be kept with aggressive species.
