The Paramonacanthus is a filefish with a flat and slender body, belonging to the Monacanthidae family. Its undulating swimming and stealthy movements make it fascinating to observe in a reef aquarium.
A peaceful and useful fish
Discreet and non-aggressive, the Paramonacanthus easily integrates into a community tank. It can sometimes be wary during acclimatization, but quickly becomes active and curious once settled. This fish is also known for browsing certain algae that can overrun the aquarium's decor.
