The Trigonostigma heteromorpha is also commonly known as Rasbora. The Trigonostigma heteromorpha is a pinkish-colored fish. It is distinguished by its triangular mark that extends from the middle of its body to the end of the caudal peduncle. The Rasbora is a schooling fish, so it is preferable to introduce them in a colony, meaning a group of at least 15 individuals, to avoid any stress that could lead to diseases or simply the death of the individuals. Carnivorous and herbivorous, this species resides not far from the water surface.
A temperature of 23° to 26° is considered suitable, as is a pH around 7. A 60 L aquarium is essential to provide enough space for the entire colony. By following specific guidelines, the maintenance of this species is accessible to everyone.
