The Brochis splendens is a bottom-dwelling fish. It is essential to have them to establish a good balance in your aquarium. The Brochis, although its body is mostly silver or green, also possesses two barbels that allow it to dig through the substrate to feed on leftover food, not consumed by the rest of the aquarium population.
Gregarious and rather lively by nature, it moves in colonies in the aquatic depths. Completely peaceful, this species integrates perfectly into a community tank. It is preferable to install 8 to 10 individuals in an aquarium of at least 200 liters. The recommended pH is between 6.8 and 7.2, and the temperature between 18°C and 25°C.
