Carnegiella marthae is a species of fish belonging to the Gasteropelecidae family, known as "Martha's hatchetfish" or "Martha's broom fish." It is native to South America, where it lives in freshwater rivers and lakes.
Carnegiella marthae is a fish with an elongated and graceful shape, with a small head and a protrusible mouth. The body is covered with fine scales and is generally light green in color, with red or orange spots on the back and sides. The fins are transparent and thin.
Carnegiella marthae is a gregarious and peaceful fish that likes to live in groups and is not territorial. It is suitable for aquarium life and is appropriate for aquarists of all levels.
