The Dwarf Gourami (Colisa lalia) - Trichogaster lalius is an Asian gourami. This beautiful fish can be kept alone, in a pair, or in a trio in a 50 L tank, but if you want to keep 2 males together, a minimum of 250 L is required. In the wild, this fish lives in pairs or alone at mid-depth. Quite peaceful with other species, it is less tolerant with its kind. Once adult, its size averages 5 cm. Its lifespan is estimated to be around 4 years.
Raising the Dwarf Gourami requires an 80 L aquarium, a temperature between 22° and 28°, and a pH around 7. Be mindful of the specimen's sensitive nature, as significant temperature changes or poor water quality can affect its health.
