Originally from West Africa, the Clown Killi - Epiplatys annulatus is a very small fish that measures on average 2 cm. It is easily recognizable by its scarlet caudal fin, which resembles a flame. However, the females are colorless unlike the males. Vertical black stripes are also present on the body of this specimen. It is found in tropical forests with a very humid climate.
For aquarium maintenance, a tank of at least 10L is required. An ideal water temperature is between 20° and 27°. Additionally, a pH between 6 and 6.8 is suitable for the Clown Killi - Epiplatys annulatus. Moreover, it prefers to have at least one companion, so it is not advisable to introduce it into an aquarium alone. Its peaceful temperament and tolerance to environmental variations make it an easy fish to care for. Finally, this carnivore appreciates dry food, frozen food, and fresh food.
