Symbiotic Gorgone Ventalina - Size XL
A Spectacular Fan Gorgonian
The Symbiotic Gorgone Ventalina is an iconic photosynthetic gorgonian of Caribbean reefs, recognizable by its wide, flat fan shape. In XL size, it becomes a true architectural piece of the reef decor, perfect for creating a sense of height and a natural fluid movement.
Natural Colors and Peaceful Behavior
Depending on the specimens, it displays purple, beige, brown, or grayish tones, sometimes edged with lighter shades. Its fine and numerous polyps wave in the current, bringing visual dynamism while remaining non-aggressive towards other corals.
An Easy and Self-Sufficient Gorgonian
Thanks to the presence of zooxanthellae, it primarily feeds through photosynthesis and does not require specific feeding. A supplement of microfauna or phytoplankton can, however, support its growth and improve polyp extension.
Lighting and Water Flow
Moderate to strong lighting (150–250 PAR) is recommended to stimulate its metabolism. A constant but gentle to moderate water flow is ideal to prevent sediment buildup on its branches and ensure good circulation around its fine tissues.
