KS-150 Grotech – Kalkwasser Stirrer for Marine Aquarium

The KS-150 is a limewater mixing reactor developed by Grotech for reef aquariums. It dissolves and keeps calcium hydroxide in suspension to produce a homogeneous limewater, used for calcium supplementation and pH support.

Operation

The KS-150 functions as a mixing chamber where osmosis water is brought into contact with calcium hydroxide. The stirring system ensures regular dissolution, producing clear and consistent limewater.

The prepared water can be gradually injected into the aquarium, usually via an evaporation compensation system or a dosing pump, to avoid sudden parameter changes.

Use in Reef Aquariums

Using a kalkwasserrührer supports the calcium consumption of calcareous corals while contributing to pH stability. The KS-150 is suitable for reef aquariums requiring regular and controlled supplementation.
