Fragging allows for the multiplication of many coral species by producing branches from mother colonies. The fragments can then be easily glued onto the GROTECH Ceramic Frag Plugs, specially developed for this purpose.

The GROTECH Ceramic Frag Plugs are available in three diameters to fit the size of the fragments:

– 22 mm – 30 mm – 40 mm

Compatibility and Gluing

For gluing the fragments, using a suitable coral glue is recommended according to the type and size of the coral. The rough surface structure of the Frag Plugs ensures optimal glue adherence and stable attachment.

The fired ceramic material is neutral in seawater and quickly colonized by coral tissue or red calcareous algae.

Shape and Stability

Thanks to their mushroom shape, the Frag Plugs can be placed in a dedicated holder or in light grid plates. This design keeps the fragments in place and prevents their movement by currents or fish.
