Description

The pHep® HI98107 pocket pH meter by Hanna Instruments is a robust and precise instrument, ideal for use in the laboratory and in the field. This new pH meter is less than 2 cm thick and is extremely ergonomic, comfortable to hold. The instrument is simple to use and is equipped with only 2 buttons: one for turning on and off; the other for calibration.

Information

The HI98107 pH meter features a large multi-level display that simultaneously shows pH and temperature measurements. The pH measurements are displayed with a resolution of 0.1 pH and an accuracy of ± 0.1 pH. The pH range of the HI98107 pH meter is between 0.0 and 14.0 pH. An internal temperature sensor allows for quick and automatic temperature compensation of the measurements. The temperature can be displayed in ℃ or ℉. The screen shows stability indicators and calibration tags. The battery charge percentage is displayed when the instrument is turned on.

The pH electrode has a single reference cell that uses a removable fiber junction. Blockage of the junction can lead to irregular measurements that take longer to stabilize. Renewing the junction will prolong the lifespan of the pH electrode.

Calibration is performed by pressing the calibration button. In calibration mode, the electrode can be calibrated at 1 or 2 points using the stored standard solutions (pH 4.01, 7.01, 10.01). When the standard solution value is recognized and stability is achieved, the instrument automatically accepts and stores the calibration standard value.

The configuration options include the choice of temperature unit and automatic shutoff, selectable between 8 minutes, 60 minutes, or off. To access the configuration mode, simply press a button located in the battery compartment.

- The low battery indicator appears when the remaining battery charge is below 10%.

- Battery charge percentage at startup

- When it is turned on, all the segments of the screen are displayed for 1 second, then the indication of the remaining battery charge is shown.
