Reef Salt box 19kg - Aquaforest

Description

Fully synthetic sea salt created for aquaculture corals. This formula is designed to create the best conditions for marine animals. The micro-nutrients and macro-nutrients contained in Aquaforest Reef Salt meet the demands of corals for proper growth and pigmentation. After dissolving the salt, your freshly prepared seawater can be used immediately. The salt mix is enriched with amino acids and vitamin C. The addition of vitamin C promotes growth and has positive effects on the overall health of all aquarium inhabitants.

Preparation

- Dissolve the salt in pre-prepared osmosis water.

- The water temperature should be around 24°C. For a salinity of 33 ppt (1.025 SG), dissolve approximately 390 g in 10 L of water.

- Stir the solution vigorously for about 15 minutes.

- Once the salt is completely dissolved and the solution is clear, the saline water is ready to use.

Store the salt in a dry, dark place. Once dissolved, use the salt within 5 days. Evaporation can change the water parameters, so store freshly mixed saline water in a sealed container if not using immediately. You should recheck the salinity of your saline water before using it if storing it for a few days.

Aquaforest products are manufactured in the EU under strict laboratory supervision to meet the highest quality standards. Each product is prepared from carefully selected raw components in quantities proven to produce a consistent composition.

How is our Marine Salt product range tested?


We mix our sea salt in batches of 1 metric ton (2204 lb), and 3 separate samples per batch are collected during the production step for testing. Each of these samples is dissolved in 15 liters (4 US gal) of RO water. Our team of experienced professionals performs ICP-OES analyses to ensure the chemical composition falls within a consistent range and to exclude the presence of unwanted contaminants at the same time.

Note: Even though our salt is well-mixed, not all buckets/boxes will be identical. Parameters may vary slightly between containers, and a variation of about 2-3% is acceptable. This fluctuation results from both the physical properties of the mix and the limitations of available processing techniques. These variations are still smaller than the typical margin of error of popular hobbyist test kits.
