Iron Supplement for Reef Aquarium

Trace Colors C is part of Red Sea's Trace Colors program and provides a complex of essential metals naturally present in the soft tissues and skeleton of corals.

This supplement contains eight so-called "light" metals: iron, manganese, cobalt, copper, aluminum, zinc, chromium, and nickel.

Biological Role of C Elements

These micro-elements are involved in many fundamental biochemical processes, including cellular respiration, energy production, and enzymatic metabolism.

Iron plays a key role in the synthesis of chlorophyll and in the photosynthesis mechanisms of symbiotic zooxanthellae.

The elements of group C also act as photosynthetic catalysts and are associated with chromoproteins responsible for the green and yellow hues observed in many corals.

Consumption in Reef Aquarium

In active reef systems, iron and trace metals are rapidly consumed by corals, symbiotic algae, and microfauna.

Controlled supplementation helps maintain appropriate levels without excessive accumulation, promoting healthy growth and stable coloration.

Reef Care Program Compatibility

Coral Colors C is designed to be used within the framework of the Red Sea Reef Care program.

For optimal expression of coral colors, the combined use of NO3:PO4-X Red Sea is recommended to maintain appropriate nutrient levels.

Dosage

1 ml increases the iron concentration by 0.01 ppm for 100 liters of water.

The dosage should be adjusted based on the actual consumption of the tank and controlled using appropriate tests.
