Natural Development of Coralline Algae

In reef aquariums optimized for hard corals, coralline algae grow naturally without specific supplementation. However, in fish-only systems or soft corals, targeted supplementation becomes necessary.

KH Coralline Gro is formulated to precisely meet the needs of coralline algae when alkalinity and trace elements become limiting.

Specific Formulation for Coralline Algae

This supplement is a balanced complex of carbonate buffers, potassium, and trace elements such as iron, in proportions regularly absorbed by coralline algae.

It helps maintain a stable alkalinity around 3 meq/L (8.4 dKH), the optimal value for encouraging the growth of coralline algae in non-strict marine aquariums.

Recommended Usage

KH Coralline Gro is intended to replace the Reef Foundation B supplement during the cycling phase of new marine aquariums.

It can also be used continuously in fish-only systems or soft corals to maintain stable alkalinity and promote surface colonization by coralline algae.

The dosage should be adjusted based on the drop in alkalinity measured using a precise KH test.
