Reef Trace 250 ml Seachem – trace element supplement for reef aquarium

Reef Trace is formulated to provide a wide spectrum of trace elements necessary for the proper biological functioning of reef aquariums. These elements play an essential role in metabolic processes, coloration, and the growth of photosynthetic organisms.

Main Features

Type: Liquid trace element supplement.

Volume: 250 ml.

Usage: Reef.

Free from nitrate and phosphate.

Role of Trace Elements in Reefs

Trace elements are present in very low concentrations in natural seawater, but they are essential for many biological processes. They are involved in metabolic reactions, pigment synthesis, and the proper functioning of photosynthetic organisms.

In a reef aquarium, these elements are gradually depleted through biological use, oxidation, and precipitation, often more rapidly than other micronutrients. Regular supplementation is therefore necessary.

The addition of certain trace elements, such as iron, has been shown to be beneficial for the growth and coloration of soft corals, anemones, and other photosynthetic organisms.

Use Alone or Combined

Reef Trace can be used alone to maintain trace elements or in combination with Reef Plus. The best results are generally obtained when both supplements are used together, with Reef Trace providing trace elements and Reef Plus providing vitamins and amino acids.

Usage Instructions

Add 5 ml for 80 L of water, twice a week.

If used in conjunction with Reef Plus, it is recommended to dose Reef Trace every other day.

Important Considerations

Reef Trace is formulated without nitrate or phosphate and does not contribute to the increase of undesirable nutrients when used as recommended.

As with any trace element supplementation, it is advised to adhere to dosages and observe the response of the organisms.
