This Psammocora Green Branching is renowned for its resilience and fast growth. It tolerates moderate variations in water parameters well and is an excellent choice for aquarists seeking a structuring and bright coral without significant maintenance constraints.
Ideal Conditions for Optimal Development
Lighting and Water Flow
To maximize its fluorescent green brilliance and promote even growth, moderate to strong lighting is recommended, with an intensity around 200-300 PAR. Medium to strong water flow is essential to oxygenate the coral's tissues and prevent the accumulation of sediments between its thick branches.
Water Parameters
Like all SPS corals, the Psammocora Green Branching requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-9 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L
