Lighting and Flow
To ensure vibrant color and even growth, moderate to strong lighting is recommended, with an intensity around 200-250 PAR. Moderate to strong water flow is essential to ensure optimal oxygenation and prevent sediment accumulation between its branches.
Water Parameters
Like all SPS corals, the Fluorescent Green Montipora stellata requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C (75-79°F)
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-10 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L
