Ideal Conditions for Optimal Coloration
Lighting and Water Flow
To maintain its vibrant colors and promote even growth, moderate to strong lighting is recommended, with an intensity around 200-300 PAR. A medium to strong water flow is necessary to oxygenate its tissues and prevent sediment accumulation between its compact branches.
Water Parameters
Like all SPS corals, the Stylophora Pink with Fluorescent Green Polyps requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-9 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L
