To maintain and enhance its fluorescent green color, moderate to strong lighting is recommended, with an intensity of about 150 to 250 PAR. A medium to strong water flow is also advised to prevent sediment buildup on its surface and promote optimal development.

- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
