The Red Montipora Plate S is a prized SPS coral among aquarists for its layered plate-like structure and intense red hue. This type of growth allows it to create stunning natural structures in a reef aquarium, adding depth and a touch of vibrant color.
A robust and easy-to-maintain coral
This Red Montipora Plate is ideal for reef enthusiasts looking for a coral with fast growth and resilience. Its plate-like structure provides beneficial shaded areas for other corals and the aquarium's microfauna.
Ideal conditions for optimal growth
Lighting and Water Flow
To achieve an intense red coloration and promote its development, moderate lighting is recommended, with an intensity of around 150-200 PAR. A medium water flow is ideal to prevent sediment accumulation on its large surfaces.
Water Parameters
Like all SPS corals, the Red Montipora Plate S requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C (75-79°F)
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-10 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L

Couleur presque fuchsia, très lumineux, il illumine une partie du bac à lui seul malgré sa petite taille. Conditionnement toujours au top.
