Ideal Conditions for Optimal Coloration
Lighting and Water Flow
To maintain its fluorescent intensity and ensure balanced growth, moderate lighting is recommended, with an intensity of about 100-200 PAR. A medium water flow is sufficient to oxygenate its tissues and prevent sediment accumulation between its polyps.
Water Parameters
Like all LPS corals, the Caulastrea furcata Neon Yellow requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24-26°C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0 - 8.4
- KH: 7-9 dKH
- Calcium: 400-450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250-1350 ppm
- Nitrates: between 2 and 10 mg/L for optimal coloration
- Phosphates: between 0.02 and 0.08 mg/L
